Przegląd tygodnia

• Ostrzeżenie przy wklejaniu to nowa funkcja Automatycznego pomocnika, która ma pomóc w unikaniu naruszeń praw autorskich. Kiedy nowicjusze wkleją tekst do pola edycyjnego, zobaczą komunikat przypominający o prawach autorskich i wolnych licencjach. Od środy 8 października, 22 wiki będą testowały tę funkcję. Ma ona pomóc nowym użytkownikom przestrzegać zasad obowiązujących w projektach Wikimedia.

Komunikaty dla edytorów

• Urządzenia mobilne będą teraz wczytywać artykuły bezpośrednio w podstawowej domenie (np. en.wikipedia.org), zamiast bycia przekierowywanym do domeny mobilnej (np. en.m.wikipedia.org), co poprawi wydajność. Wprowadzimy tę zmianę na Wikipedie w tym tygodniu. Dotychczasowe adresy URL nadal będą działały, a opcja przełączenia widoku na standardowy pozostanie dostępna. Więcej informacji. [1]
• W wyszukiwarce dostępne są nowe opcje filtrowania według dat, z użyciem słów kluczowych creationdate: i lasteditdate:. Pozwalają użytkownikom na filtrowanie wyników według dat utworzenia pierwszej i ostatniej wersji strony. Obsługują także operatory porównania (np. >2024) i daty względne (np. today-1d). Dzięki nim łatwiejsze będzie przeszukiwanie ostatnio zaktualizowanej zawartości albo stron o określonym wieku. [2]
• Wikifunkcje obsługują teraz formatowaną zawartość w wywołaniach osadzonych w treści stron na wszystkich 150 wiki, z których są dostępne. Aby zademonstrować tę funkcję, zespół przygotował tabelę deklinacji łacińskiej, którą Wikisłowniki mogą wykorzystać do automatycznego generowania form rzeczowników i wyświetlenia ich w sformatowanej tabelce – zobacz przykładowy wynik. Jeśli potrzebujesz pomocy lub masz jakiekolwiek opinie, skontaktuj się z zespołem Wikifunkcji. [3]

Przegląd tygodnia

• W zeszłym tygodniu na wszystkich wiki aktywowano zaktualizowane strony zarządzania weryfikacją dwuetapową (2FA) i zmiany hasła. Zmieniono wygląd strony Specjalna:Zarządzanie_weryfikacją_dwuetapową, dodano możliwość skonfigurowania kilku opcji drugiego składnika – zarówno aplikacji, jak i fizycznego klucza zabezpieczeń. Wprowadzono również moduł z kodami zapasowymi, który ma ułatwić dostęp do nich, a w kosekwencji – zmniejszyć liczbę osób tracących dostęp do konta. W ramach projektu bezpieczeństwa kont przez resztę tego roku będziemy pracować nad dalszymi usprawnieniami interfejsu użytkownika oraz wsparciem dla kluczy dostępu (passkey) jako drugiego składnika logowania.

Komunikaty dla edytorów

• Kolejną częścią prac nad bezpieczeństwem kont jest udostępnianie logowania dwuskładnikowego wszystkim zainteresowanym. Robimy to stopniowo – w tej chwili, poza administratorami i innymi użytkownikami z wyższymi uprawnieniami, 40% kont ma dostęp do 2FA. Na stronie Specjalna:Zarządzanie_weryfikacją_dwuetapową możesz sprawdzić, czy wdrożenie objęło już też twoje konto. Instrukcja aktywacji uwierzytelniania dwuskładnikowego jest dostępna na podlinkowanej stronie. Zamierzamy kontynuować udostępnianie 2FA, jeśli potwierdzimy że jesteśmy w stanie obsługiwać jego szersze wykorzystanie. [8]
• W tym tygodniu, na wiki gdzie Narzędzia dyskusji są włączone domyślnie (tj. wszędzie oprócz 12 wiki wymienionych w T379264) pojawi się opcja dziękowania za komentarz bezpośrednio z widoku czytania strony. Do tej pory, dziękowanie było możliwe wyłącznie poprzez historię zmian. Dostępnych jest więcej informacji o tej zmianie. [9]
• Użytkownicy, którzy podali, ale nie potwierdzili swojego adresu e-mail, będą niedługo dostawać comiesięczne powiadomienie, aby to zrobić. Wynika to z faktu, że potwierdzony adres e-mail ułatwia postępowanie w razie utraty dostępu do konta. Powiadomienia nie będą wysyłane do kont nieaktywnych oraz takich, które wcale nie mają adresu e-mail podanego w preferencjach. [10][11]
• Zobacz wszystkie 21 kwestii, zgłoszonych przez społeczność, które naprawiono w ostatnim tygodniu. Na przykład, naprawiono sporadyczny błąd w zapisywaniu akapitów w Tłumaczeniu treści, a także w widoczności powiązanych komunikatów błędu. [12]

• Ontology federation: We are starting to work on making it possible for other Wikibase instances to use Wikidata's Items as values in their statements. This expands on previous work around federated properties.
• Dumps: We have worked on fixing issues with the dumps that were failing recently. They should now be generated again and we continue to look into the cause.

• Aby zoptymalizować sposób przechowywania danych powiązanych z użytkownikami w naszych bazach danych, preferencje kont, na które nie logowano się od 5 lat i które wykonały mniej niż 100 edycji, zostaną skasowane. Kiedy te osoby wrócą, będą miały domyślne ustawienia. [13]

Zadanie strukturyzowane "Dodaj Link" na anglojęzycznej Wikipedii

Wdrożyliśmy Zadanie strukturyzowane "Dodaj Link" dla 100% kont w anglojęzycznej Wikipedii w czwartek 2 września (przedtem było ono dostępne dla 20% kont).

Narzędzia Growth dla Wikidanych

Po ocenie, czy funkcje Growth i Mentorstwo mogą być dopasowane do Wikidanych, aktywowaliśmy je na Beta Wikidata celem testowania i poddania dyskusji (T400937). Chociaż niektóre funkcje, takie jak Sugerowane Edycje, są specyficzne dla Wikipedii, zespół Growth zaprojektował większość funkcji, aby były bardziej niezależne od rodzaju wiki.

Trwające prace

Zadanie strukturyzowane Poprawa Stylu

Zespół Growth pracuje nad architekturą techniczną, opracowaniem wdrażania oraz nad wczesnymi testami przez użytkowników. Planujemy do końca tego roku przeprowadzić test A/B, z ilością konstruktywnych edycji dokonanych przez nowicjuszy jako najważniejszy wskaźnik sukcesu.

Zespół do spraw trenowania algorytmów maszynowych pracuje nad nowym modelem, który będzie podpowiadał propozycje podlinkowania w kolejnych językach, takich jak Urdu, Chiński, czy Japoński. Zaczęliśmy wydawać funkcję “Dodaj Link” na Wikipedie, których poprzedni model nie wspierał.

Funkcja Dodaj sugerowany link, którą społeczność może skonfigurować lokalnie, zwiększa szansę, że nowicjusz wykona swoją pierwszą edycję, a następnie będzie kontynuował wnoszenie wkładu w Wikipedię.

Badania

Nasz zespół angażuje się w różne projekty badawcze pomagające nakreślić nasze przyszłe zadania:

System postępu – Opublikowaliśmy wstępne wnioski z wywiadów przeprowadzonych z 10 użytkownikami anglojęzycznej i francuskojęzycznej Wikipedii. Podczas badania wzięto pod lupę motywacje, wyzwania i zdanie na temat systemu prototypowego mającego na celu pomóc redaktorom budować pewność siebie, rozwijać umiejętności i zwiększać konstruktywność edycji.

Badanie nad edytowaniem z wersji mobilnej – Projekt łączy ilościowe i jakościowe dane, opinie społeczności i analizę doświadczeń użytkowników, aby zidentyfikować możliwe sposoby poprawy doświadczenia edycji mobilnej.

Ankieta powitalna – W ramach tego projektu ankietujemy nowicjuszy na anglojęzycznej Wikipedii, aby zrozumieć ich wczesne doświadczenia edycyjne, wykorzystanie narzędzi i interakcje ze społecznością.

Wydarzenia społeczności

Zespół Growth uczestniczył w kilku wydarzeniach z udziałem społeczności, gdzie słuchał, dzielił się i współpracował nad ulepszeniem doświadczeń nowicjuszy w projektach Wikimedia.

Wikimania - Organizatorzy jako kluczowi partnerzy we wspieraniu rozwoju nowicjuszy w naszym ruchu

Na tej sesji zaproszono organizatorów wydarzeń do podzielenia się jak wprowadzają nowicjuszy do użytkowania narzędzi od zespołu Growth i jakie trudności napotykają. W dyskusji skupiono się na najczęstszych pytaniach nowicjuszy i szansach na wzmocnienie współpracy w zakresie wspierania nowych redaktorów.

Wikimania - Lightning Talk: Zadania strukturyzowane

W trakcie tej prezentacji pokazano jak Zadania Strukturyzowane pomagają nowicjuszom dokonać swoich pierwszych pomyślnych kroków w Wikipedii. Pokazano dane o wpływie, konfigurowanie przez społeczność i demonstrację “Dodaj link” ilustrującą, jak takie zadania czynią edytowanie bardziej dostępnym, zwłaszcza dla edytujących z urządzeń mobilnych.

Wikimania - Budowanie zrównoważonej przyszłości dla współtwórców Wikimediów

Przy zmniejszającej się liczbie aktywnych edytujących Strategia dotycząca współtwórców dąży do stworzenia jaśniejszej, bardziej angażującej ścieżki uczestnictwa. Komunikaty dla edytorów

• W aplikacji Wikipedia na iOS rozpoczął się test A/B/C usprawnień w przeglądaniu w kartach. Jest on aktywny w wybranych regionach i językach. Ten test, nazwany „Więcej dynamicznych kart”, wprowadza nowe doświadczenia użytkowników i wyświetla rekomendacje „Czy wiesz że” i „Ponieważ czytasz o”. Więcej informacji znajduje się na stronie projektu.
• Automatycznie zatwierdzeni użytkownicy na małych i średnich wiki mogą używać funkcji rejestracji na wydarzenia z rozszerzenia CampaignEvents bez potrzeby posiadania uprawnień organizatora wydarzeń. Ta funkcja pozwala organizatorom aktywować rejestrację, zarządzać uczestnikami i pozwala użytkownikom rejestrować się za pomocą jednego kliknięcia, zamiast dopisywania nicku do stron wydarzeń.

• Środowisko testowe REST API, oparte o SwaggerUI, jest już dostępne na wszystkich wiki. Można do niego uzyskać dostęp przez stronę Specjalna:Środowisko testowe REST API. Prosimy o zgłaszanie wszystkich problemów na tablicy zespołu MediaWiki Interfaces lub w dyskusji na stronie poświęconej wdrożeniu. [17]

Komunikaty dla edytorów

• Strona Specjalna:Połącz historie jest teraz bardziej elastyczna w zakresie wersji, które może przenieść z historii jednej strony do drugiej. Obsługiwane jest teraz przenoszenie wersji ze środka historii (zamiast wyłącznie od najstarszych), a także umieszczanie ich w dowolnym miejscu historii strony docelowej (zamiast wyłącznie przed najstarszymi). [19]
• Użytkownicy, którzy włączyli w preferencjach ustawienie „Automatycznie subskrybuj wątki”, subskrybują powiadomienia o komentarzach w wątkach, które utworzyli lub skomentowali. Do tej pory, subskrypcja była ustawiana wyłącznie po skorzystaniu z interfejsu Narzędzi dyskusji („Dodaj temat” lub „Odpowiedz”), ale teraz odpowiadanie z użyciem innych interfejsów (np. edytora wikikodu) również doda wątek do śledzonych. Teraz ta strona ładuje wpisy mniejszymi porcjami, co pozwoli bezproblemowo wyświetlać listy obserwowanych. Przy okazji aktualizacji bazy danych, usunięto możliwość sortowania stron według czasu wygaśnięcia obserwowania, ponieważ było to 100 razy wolniejsze niż sortowanie po tytułach. Utworzono życzenie społeczności, aby poszukać alternatywnej metody implementacji sortowania wg czasu wygaśnięcia. Jeśli ta funkcja jest dla ciebie ważna, poprzyj to życzenie! [23]

Można z niej skorzystać za pośrednictwem linku „Zobacz skrócony adres URL” w panelu narzędziowym. Na 30 wiki jest dostępne również starsze rozszerzenie „ShortURL”, które niedługo zostanie usunięte. To oznacza, że adresy URL /s/ nie będą już umieszczane pod tytułami artykułów w elemencie class="title-shortlink". Linki /s/ będą nadal działać. [25]
• W czwartek, 30 października, zespoły MediaWiki Interfaces i SRE Service Operations rozpoczęły przekierowywanie Action API tak, aby korzystało ze wspólnej bramy sieciowej dla API. Poszczególne wiki dostaną aktualizację według zwykłego harmonogramu wdrożeń, a ruch będzie przekierowywany przyrostowo. Oczekujemy, że ta zmiana nie wpłynie na użytkowników API. Komunikaty dla edytorów

Przykład strony dyskusji z nowym wyglądem (po francusku).

• Od 12 listopada, na niektórych Wikipediach użytkownicy zobaczą zmiany w wyglądzie stron dyskuji. Prawie wszystkie wiki już wcześniej otrzymały te zmiany, a angielska Wikipedia otrzyma je później. Więcej informacji dostępnych jest na Diffie. Starszy wygląd stron dyskusji można przywrócić w preferencjach („Pokaż aktywność wątków dyskusji”). [27]
• MediaWiki może teraz wyświetlać wskaźnik statusu, informujący o tym, że strona jest zabezpieczona. Ta funkcja jest domyślnie wyłączona i można ją włączyć na życzenie społeczności. [28]
• Po użyciu przycisków „Pokaż podgląd” lub „Podgląd zmian” w edytorze wikikodu, zostaną zapamiętane wartości parametrów URL takich jak „useskin”, „uselang” i „section”. Poprawia to także błąd, który – jeśli przeglądarka uległa awarii podczas wyświetlania podglądu strony – powodował nadpisanie całej strony zawartością właśnie edytowanej sekcji. [29][30][31]
• Wikipodróże mogą używać kolorowych znaczników mapy w treści strony. Tekst na tych znacznikach będzie czarny lub biały (w zależności od tła), zamiast zawsze biały. Lokalne obejścia mogą zostać usunięte. [32]
• Zakładka Aktywność w aplikacji na Androida jest teraz dostępna dla wszystkich użytkowników. Oferuje ona spersonalizowane informacje o czytaniu, edytowaniu i darowiznach, a jednocześnie upraszcza nawigację i sprawia że aplikacja jest bardziej angażująca. [33]
• Zespół Reader Growth uruchamia eksperyment „Przeglądanie obrazów”, aby sprawdzić, jak można ułatwić czytelnikom interakcje z ilustracjami w artykułach Wikipedii. Będzie to test A/B tylko w wersji mobilnej. Urchomiono go 3 listopada na Wikipediach: arabskiej, chińskiej, francuskiej, indonezyjskiej i wietnamskiej, gdzie dotyczy do 10% użytkowników. Około 17 listopada zostanie włączony na cztery tygodnie także na Wikipedii angielskiej, dla 0,05% użytkowników. [34]
• Zobacz wszystkie 27 kwestii, zgłoszonych przez społeczność, które naprawiono w ostatnim tygodniu. Na przykład naprawiono brak możliwości blokowania globalnie (lock) kont z poziomu wersji mobilnej. [35]

Komunikaty dla edytorów technicznych

• Na Wikitech trwają nominacje na nowych członków Komitetu standardów Toolforge. Pośród innych zadań, nadzoruje on zasady prawa do forkowania i polityki porzuconych narzędzi. Nominacje potrwają do 28 listopada.
• Na wiki korzystających z SUL, pole wystawca w tokenach dostępu OAuth2 zostało zmienione na https://meta.wikimedia.org. Stare tokeny nadal będą działać. [36]
• Pole podmiot w tokenach dostępu OAuth 2 niedługo zmieni się z <user id> na mw:<identity type>:<user id>, gdzie wartością <identity type> jest zwykle CentralAuth: (na wiki korzystających z SUL) lub local:<wiki id> (na pozostałych wiki). Dzięki tej zmianie, nie będą zdarzały się konflikty pomiędzy różnymi rodzajami identyfikatorów użytkownika, a także upodobni to tokeny OAuth 2 do ciasteczka sessionJwt. Stare tokeny nadal będą działać. [37]
• Komunikaty interfejsu związane z blokadami (blockedtext, blockedtext-partial, autoblockedtext, systemblockedtext, blockedtext-tempuser, autoblockedtext-tempuser) obsługują teraz dodatkowe parametry, informujące czy użytkownik może edytować swoją stronę dyskusji ($9) i czy ma możliwość wysyłania maili ($10). • Gałąź REL1_45 została utworzona w repozytoriach Git jądra MediaWiki, rozszerzeń i skórek. Jest to pierwszy krok w procesie wydania wersji 1.45.0, zaplanowanego na koniec listopada br. Jeśli pracujecie nad poprawą krytycznych błędów lub nową funkcją możesz musieć wziąć to pod uwagę. [39]

Updates for editors

• Last week, the Wikimedia Search Team recreated the "DWIM" (Do What I Mean) gadget functionality server-side, for Russian and Hebrew Wikipedias. This feature adds cross-keyboard suggestions to the standard search-box suggestions. For example, searching for cxfcnmt on Russian Wikipedia will now add suggestions for счастье ("happiness") that the user probably intended. They plan to enable this feature for other Russian and Hebrew wikis this week. [43]
• Later this week, users of the "Ulepszone podświetlanie składni" beta feature will have syntax highlighting available in DiscussionTools. This requires that the "Włącz pasek narzędzi edycyjnych w trybie kodu źródłowego" preference be set. [44]
• Campaign events extension – the set of tools for coordinating events and other on-wiki collaborations has now been deployed to all Wikimedia wikis. A new feature known as Collaborative contribution to help organizers and participants see the impact of activities has also been added. Join the upcoming learning session to see the new feature in action and share your feedback.
• View all 24 community-submitted tasks that were resolved last week. For example, the bug which stopped CodeReviewBot from working, has now been fixed. [45]

Updates for technical contributors

• Users of Wikimedia API can join a usability study to help validate the new design of Wikimedia REST API sandboxes. Interested participants should fill the recruitment survey. [46]
• The MediaWiki Interfaces team is deprecating XSLT stylesheets within the Action API. Support for format=xml&xlst={stylesheet} will be removed from Wikimedia projects by the end of November, 2025. In addition, it will soon be disabled by default in MediaWiki release versions: v1.43 (LTS), v1.44, and v1.45. Support for XSLT stylesheets will be fully removed from MediaWiki v1.46 (expected to release between April and May 2026). [47]
• The WDQS legacy endpoint (query-legacy-full.wikidata.org) will be decommissioned at the end of December 2025, and finally closed down on 7th January 2026. After this date, users should expect requests to query.wikidata.org that require the full graph to fail or return invalid results if they are not rewritten to use SPARQL federation. The team encourages users to ensure that tools and workflows use the supported WDQS endpoints (https://query.wikidata.org/ - Main graph or https://query-scholarly.wikidata.org/ - Scholarly graph). Przegląd tygodnia

• Każdy, kto chce lepiej zabezpieczyć swoje konto, może skorzystać z uwierzytelniania dwuskładnikowego (2FA). Ta możliwość jest już dostępna dla wszystkich kont użytkowników. Praca nad tą funkcjonalnością została zrealizowana w ramach inicjatywy bezpeiczeństwa kont. W następnej kolejności, praca będzie się toczyć nad wymaganiem 2FA od użytkowników, którzy mogą podejmować akcje wrażliwe ze względów bezpieczeństwa lub prywatności.

Komunikaty dla edytorów

Development

• Mobile editing of statements: We have released the first version of mobile statement editing as a beta feature (see details above). In addition we are improving it further and are adding missing functionality to get it ready for a full release. This includes adding editing support for additional data types such as date and musical notation.
• Blazegraph replacement: The Wikidata platform team is continuing their evaluation of alternative backends for the Wikidata Query Service.
• Graph QL: We are continuing to work on the prototype to get it ready for wider testing and are waiting on a security review.
• Dumps: We fixed an issue where the "latest" symlinks to data dumps weren't working correctly.
• Wikidata integration in the Wikimedia projects: We are investigating how to further reduce the number of unnecessary changes showing up in watchlist and recent changes coming from Wikidata. The work on this is also helping reduce the size of the recent changes database table, which is especially important on larger Wikipedias. In addition we are continuing to improve the Databox module to make it easier for smaller Wikipedias to get Wikidata-powered infoboxes.

Przegląd tygodnia

• Fundacja Wikimedia opublikowała (na Meta i Diffie) kilka pytań, które mają pomóc w kształtowaniu planu rocznego 2026-2027 (od lipca do czerwca). Skupiają się one na globalnych trendach, szybszym i sprawniejszym wykonywaniu eksperymentów, lepszym wsparciu nowicjuszy, wzmacnianiu edytorów i użytkowników z zaawansowanymi uprawnieniami, poprawie współpracy między społecznościami oraz przyciąganiu i utrzymywaniu czytelników. Pomysły i komentarze są mile widziane na stronie dyskusji.

Komunikaty dla edytorów

• W ramach trwających prac nad projektem wielu list obserwowanych, widok strony edycji listy obserwowanych zostanie zaktualizowany. Będzie to pierwszy krok w kierunku wsparcia dodatkowych list. Ponadto, zaktualizowany zostanie mechanizm podziały na strony w wyszukiwarce, w ramach życzenia Aktualizacja nawigacji między stronami. [61]
• Globalna lista obserwowanych, rozszerzenie MediaWiki, które pozwala na oglądanie list obserwowanych z wielu wiki na jednej stronie, zostało zaktualizowane, aby wyglądać podobnie do zwykłej listy obserwowanych. Aktualizacja obejmuje m.in. lepszą obsługę kont tymczasowych (w tym linkowanie do wkładu zamiast strony użytkownika), pogrubianie tytułów, otwieranie linków w opisach i znacznikach w nowej karcie.
