Mercure Poznań Centrum (Centre) Hotel is located in the city centre, ca. 1000m from the main railway station and bus station, ca. 2 km from the Old Town Square. Places within the walking distance include: Old Zoo, Jeżyce district, the Grand Theatre, Imperial-Royal Castle, Poznań Philharmonics, National Museum and Old Town Square, as well as shopping malls: Stary Browar (The Old Brewery) and Poznań City Center.

Described as "middle of the range hotel for business and leisure", our venue has its own bar, restaurant, conference rooms, sauna and gym. Private parking is available (booking of parking places is required).

The Conference

The participants will have two conference rooms at their service. "Sonata" hall, which has 142 m², will be the main room for lectures and presentations. There will also be a smaller room available next door (50 m²) to hold workshops, more specialised discussions etc.

Both rooms are equipped with microphones, loudspeakers, projector with screen, air conditioning and wi-fi Internet access.

Accomodation

The organisers booked 30 double rooms (twin type) and two single rooms for the conference participants. One of these rooms has been adapted for guests with disabilities.

All rooms are equipped with a desk, air conditioning, LCD television, internet access, mini bar (important: using the mini bar is charged extra and it is NOT included in the conference package) and tea/coffee set. The bathroom includes bathtub with shower and hair dryer.

Additional information:

• animals are accepted up to 10 kg of weight, but extra charge applies
• there are special rooms for smokers, if you wish to stay in one of those, please let us know while registering for conference
• private hotel parking is available for conference participants, but needs to be booked beforehand, so if you wish to use it, please let us know while registering for conference

Getting there

By train

Walking route from railway and bus station to the conference venue

The best route from Poznań Główny (the main railway station) to the conference venue depends on the station platform, where your train will stop. All routes have similar lenght and all should take 10-15 minutes of walk.

Getting off train on platforms 4, 5, 6 it's best to cross to platform 4 and go towards the bridge (Most Dworcowy). When you come across stairs, go up or use the elevator. Then head left, towards the glass pavilion of the Poznań International Fair. Use the marked pedestrian crossing towards the pavilion. Turn right in front of the pavilion and continue along the Fair buildings on Roosevelt Street. Then use the pedestrian crossing towards Sheraton Hotel. Going straight ahead and passing Sheraton on the left hand side, you should see Mercury Hotel in front of you. All that's left is to cross the roundabout - which you can do either via subway tunnel or using surface crossing on Zwierzyniecka street.

By bus

The route from the bus station to the conference venue should take about 10-15 minutes of walk.

By car

The roads around our conference venue are currently under contruction, which causes traffic disturbance. That's why directions for drivers will be published here at the beginning of May, when we know the current traffic situation on spot.

Entry by car and parking

Possibe entry and exit directions to/from Mercure Hotel Parkings. Other directions are not possible.

You can enter the hotel parking only from the Roosevelt street (from which you can see the hotel front), driving only from north to south.

Going around the city

It's best to walk in the centre of Poznań. It takes ca. 20 minutes of walk in relaxing pace to reach the Old Town Square from our hotel.

You can also use public transport network of Poznań, which includes buses and trams:

• tariffs and tickets - you can find ticket machines at main stops (there 50 of those all together); you also buy tickets using machines on deck on selected lines (53, 54, 55, 60, 61, 70, 72, 73, 77, 92, 95, L, 241, 244, 247); you can also purchase tickets using mobile apps.

You can also use self-service rent-a-bike spots (Poznań City Bike system), which you can use for up to 20 minutes for free (rent charge applies for longer use). The bikes need to be booked beforehand and a returnable starting charge is collected. More details here.
