What is the mode of cooperation?[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Cooperation within the project is voluntary work, without financial remuneration.

Who can join the project?[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Everyone who is skilled in one of the project languages at least on an advanced level and shows their willingness to join. Additionally, members of the project are requested to confirm their participation by email to patrol110.wikipedia {at} or by following this link.

What will I do once I join up?[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Each participant must get acquainted with the scope of work, which is as follows:

  • checking the articles for vandalism and non-verifiable information, language correction;
  • translating one of the entries from Polish Wikipedia;
  • timeliness in fulfilling the obligations set out by the coordinator.

The publication resulting from the project will not be a collection of article translations, but a collection of Wikipedia entries scrutinised by the team members. Thus, the team will not be obliged to do extensive translation work.

When and how will I be informed about my tasks?[edytuj | edytuj kod]

On September 1st, the first stage will commence. Then, the project coordinator will inform the participants about their tasks. Additionally, the coordinator will communicate by email with all the participants of the project, using the addresses submitted during registration.

What is the project timeline?[edytuj | edytuj kod]

  • September 1 – work starts (entries are copied together with their revision histories)
  • September 2−16 – texts are corrected and finished by the editor team
  • September 17−26 – the book is prepared by the DTP team
  • September 27 – the book is ready to be printed

Where and how will I work on the project?[edytuj | edytuj kod]

All the project work will be done on the subpages of the wiki of the Wikimedia Polska Association – namely Wikiksiążki/Chopin. Participants will be required to set up their user accounts there; see here.
